A man who pleaded guilty to supplying drugs and preventing the lawful burial of his Indian-origin gay lover during a date last year has been sentenced to six years’ imprisonment at a UK court for dumping the body rather than alerting the police. Hiran Chauhan’s body was discovered by some schoolchildren after it was buried in a park by Neil Cuckson following a drug-fuelled “chemsex” session.

Judge Alan Conrad told Cuckson that concealing the death and hiding the body “made it impossible for experts to obtain the results which they usually can in the case of a suspicious death”. The court heard that year-old chef Hiran and year-old supermarket worker Cuckson met on online dating app Grindr and discussed drugs for their date in July. After Cuckson woke up to find Hiran dead in his flat, he kept the body in his flat before purchasing a car, a wheelbarrow and a pitchfork.

Five days later, he was caught on CCTV struggling to lift the body into the boot of the car, before dragging Hiran’s body across the road to a nearby woodland. When police went to Cuckson’s flat they detected a “pungent smell” and arrested him on suspicion of murder. According to ”Manchester Evening News”, Hiran’s sister, Gemma Chauhan, movingly spoke in court in front of Cuckson to reveal the impact of her sibling’s death.

She said: “Hiran was the life and soul of the party, no matter how he was feeling or what he was struggling with he always had a smile on his face and never let anyone around him be sad or suffer”. She told the court that the tragedy was that everyone will only ever have one side of the story, Cuckson’s version of events. Hiran just wanted to be loved. He used the dating sites in the hope of finding this,” she said, who was among the family members desperately trying to trace Hiran after he went missing last year.

Dubai: Police have warned online dating app users to be cautious while interacting with people on those apps. Avoid being a victim of dating sites. Online dating platforms can be obvious targets for fraud, with scammers developing new faces of embezzlement. In the video, the man is shown to have received a message about the location of an unlicensed, secret, massage parlour. He drove his car to the centre, which was only a bait for criminals to steal his money and credit cards.

As soon as the apartment door opened, the man was seen going inside before he was heard screaming due to a physical assault on him by a gang of criminals who specialised in blackmailing people and stealing their money. The Dubai Police warning comes in light of recent scams that rocked some people using online dating apps. Last month, Dubai Police arrested 47 members of 20 gangs from various African countries, who used similar criminal means to blackmail numerous victims through dating apps.

They also take indecent pictures of the victim and threaten him with dire consequences if the matter is reported to the police, Dubai Police said.

Popular lunch items have had the new “expiry date” stickers applied to them and shoppers are asking why. Well, it turns out there’s an excellent reason. Shoppers often pay as much attention to the expiry date on a product as they do to the price – especially if it means your milk will be good for an extra day or two. But while the food itself may only last a few days after you buy it, there are new stickers appearing with dates hundreds of years in the future.

It’s a plan from Gagandeep Jhuti and Joe Foale-Groves to raise awareness of just how long the packaging your food comes wrapped in will last, Manchester Evening News reports. The pair, who work in advertising, created Plastic Expiry Date stickers for single-use meal deal packaging, and now they have started to appear on some supermarket items in the UK. The idea was to help raise awareness among shoppers about how their daily meal deals add up to affect the planet.

Over a thousand stickers have appeared on products in supermarkets around London, but they’ve also been spotted around the UK as eco-friendly shoppers try to help spread the message. They said: “So imagine this. Animals can now be tried in court. The prisons are overflowing with pigeons.
